Old Press Identification Help Needed

Hey folks,
I picked up this small press today. I would love to know if any one knows who would have made it. It is cast aluminum with a brass insert and screw, plunger is steel. Thanks in advance.

I would guess home made* by the quality of the casting work.

Possibly in a HS or Tech school class.

Could of been made specifically for a production type job setup.

I don't normally need a press but I thought this might come in handy for something small.
