OK, so the whole reason this exercise is being considered is "free"
I have an old pull-chain fan that our neighbor gave me.
I also have a leftover brain and remote from a newer fan that I didn't use because I wired that fan with an in-wall switch because it was in the living room and I don't want to have a remote on that one.
I want to put this old fan in my garage.
The ceilings there are HIGH. I think maybe 13' so pull-chain is not such a good idea there.
You see where I'm going with this? I'm just wondering if the old hardwired nature of the pull chain fan is the roadblock here. There's a physical module in there w/ the wiring. I just started tearing it down to get an idea of it, but I figured I'd float it out here.
