Old ratchet help

Hey so I've had this old ratchet for some time now and dont know anything about it. Its 1/2'' drive and is also female drive on the reverse side. Im sure you guys know something about it. Thanks

Post WWII production of Duro-Indestro 'sealed' ratchet. As in cheaper model that cannot be disassembled to replace parts. Varients exist with direction lever and drive plug reversed in the ratchet body.

They were made late 30's into at least the 50's and are quite well made. When kept clean and lubed they will last a long time. There is a version with a different part number that has been known to be in WWII military tool kits for vehicles.

I have one like yours.

I have a 1/4" and 3/8" of that style, non-reversing. Tough and hardy. I like 'em.
