Bought to referb and use but can't get drawers out very far. Would spraying the sides with pb blaster help?

When you repaint it… the drawers are supposed to be red. Every picture, or at least most pictures, will look orange. That is original paint, but not the original color…

The paint turns orange from UV exposure and time.

I have one that sat in a basement since the’60s.

I almost did not get it. The man who originally bought it was selling it. He bought it to use as a mechanic, but it was not big enough. He took it to his parents and put his father’s tools in it. 50some years later, there was an estate sale for his parents home. He wanted $400 for it and the tools in it. I did not have anywhere near that to spend on it at the time. My wife told me to offer him $100 without the tools and to leave my number with him. We were on the way to dinner at my in-laws. It was only a few minutes away, and the man called before we even got there… accepting my offer. He was so angry as he was taking the tools out…

This was more than 10 years ago. It is still in very good condition. Most of the wear has happened since I got it. It has been a joy to own… but, I will never buy another bottom box with bulk storage at the bottom…

Yes the drawers will be red and rest will be gray like it was originally. Yours looks great.
