Old REED Vise 402-1/2

Good Morning from NJ. I'm new to the site and appreciate any assistance. I have an old REED Vise # 402-1/2. Its been in my family for many years and I've used it regularly. My Uncle was a machinist for a coin mint in NYC in the early 1900's. I think this was his. Recently the vise broke. I cannot find the p/n to locate and purchase the part. It's the "collar" under the front of the vise with a threaded hole for a set screw. The threaded shaft goes through this collar.

Check here. The clamp0on collars may be the easiest replacement as getting a collar with the exact width you need to alight the set screw hold and not have too much or too little axial slop in the leadscrew may be an issue,

After you install the closest one, if it’s a bit too tight, you can grind a bit off of the length. If it’s a bit too loose , you can slip in a shim. Thrust washer.

Reed vises usually have date codes stamped into the metal.

I just got an old 205 that had no collar, just a set screw with a bunch of shims. I'm interested to know how your replacement went.
