I’m starting to move stuff in to my new garage and while doing so found these two little bottle jacks that had been in the shed for a bit now. Thought I’d show them off, other than the markings, or numbers, they are pretty much identical. One of them was in my 1979 Datsun pick up, and the other I can’t remember what Datsun IT came out of. I’ll likely do a little repaint later on. 3e2410025ad78068d6f0cf76c087ac2e.jpg335aec770cf6f07d29d51ec914c07a16.jpg111d7929010ccd3ca3e3acfc15b8d08e.jpga9fdbcac3a6dedfff1734b83ece80348.jpg

Those are pretty cool. I worked at a Datsun dealership around that time, and remember seeing jacks during detailing..

In the 1980's, I found a similar Toyota bottle jack at the local landfill. I brought it home, cleaned it up a bit, and have used it many, many times since.

I guess they went to scissor jacks because cars are so much higher off the ground now? Those are neat little jacks.

Those are handy jacks. My toyota pickup is supplied with similar jack.

FYI it cost Datsun 30 million dollars to change all those Datsun signs to Nissan

Those are truck jacks, I had one I used a lot till I stripped the gear one day.
the spin handle was better than 90% of the similar ones.

Those are nice jacks, they will serve you well. I have been using a similar Toyota one since 1984, the economical truck it came with is long gone to the great rust heap in the sky, but that jack lives on in my workshop. Very strong and handy, and works at any angle unlike some hydraulic bottle jacks.
