Hey, trying to find a thread I saw on here awhile ago. It was a way to repair a crack in metal. You drilled evenly spaced holes in the crack and put metal inserts in it. Grind them flush, and then offset the next set of holes. Repeat the process until the crack is filled. Anyone know what this is called?

Nice but it looks like it would only work on flat surfaces. I've got an exhaust manifold that's cracked on its outside curved surface.

If you look at the repair pictures on the website is has the combustion chamber on cylinder heads and more so I believe it will work on curved surfaces as well.

I have been using a Henrob oxyacetylene torch to weld cast iron manifolds for 14 years. Cast iron melts like brass. Its an easy repair

I would not do the lock and stitch on an exhaust manifold
Braze it up or you can bolt it to a flat plate, heat it in the BBQ and use a mig to weld it up
