Old screwdriver question

Does anyone remember an old (as I remember) round handled screwdriver that was spring loaded? Seems like it was primarily for removing screws once they were loosened up.

Thanks - Joe

None of these, but thanks for the response. I have in the old memory banks something that resembles the spinning tops (utilizing a long string) we used to play with.
May be a faulty memory deposit slip.

That ratcheting screwdriver thread is so close! Really makes me wonder if I'm thinking of the "ratchet" vs twisting spring loaded idea. 70 yrs ago, both would have been fairly new for sure.
Thanks again. Sleep tonight.

Nope. The big ball gripping part would aid people with weak hands. You wouldn't have to stay and keep twisting. This item would spin the screw out/in for you. All you had to do was tighten/untighten.
Thanks again - Joe

I think I recall reading about a type of screwdriver that you wrapped a string around, then pulled to spin it quickly. Sorry, I don't remember the name, but I don't think you are making it up. :)
