I bought this old press at a garage sale several years ago for $5. Anyone familiar with It, I haven’t turned anything up on the internet

Glassoloid was an old sign making/advertising company. I suspect the name has something to do with a type of 'plastic'.

I bet it would make a fun restoration project! Does the jack extend up high enough to actually press something or is there space between the plates when fully extended?

I finally got to check it and the top part is on a threaded shaft that threads into the ram so you can reach the top. The jack is leaking like crazy so I have it apart right now chasing replacement parts to see if I can get it refreshed
