I'm looking at these posts and wondering if I'm in the wrong place. My garage is dusty and filled with sports gear and unfinished projects. Don't have a Porsche or a BMW, not even a 4 X 4. Just an unemployed electrician who has worked in a shop environment for 25 years. My first job was at a hardware store, then I went to work at the Fisher Body plant in Pontiac, Michigan. Can you accept a shop rat into site?

absolutely you're in the right place ! Lot of us guys here either started out tuff or still doin same... at the end of the day, you'll find a friendly bunch of guys willing to share & help in good times and bad...Welcome to the forum

...that will change pretty quick if you're like me, poured my first ( err... first still standing..) concrete slab & built a shed for all that stuff after just a short time here...

You're in the right place. My garage is a working garage too... it's not pristine, nor a show place. A few times a year I can't stand the clutter any longer and clear out the mess so I can make more messes. A garage is great therapy.
