Old SK metal box, repaint?

I just got an old metal box with a few tools and am wondering if it's worth it to refinish it, and what the best steps are to do that.

It's a green steel box with a SK tools metal tag on the inside of the lid.
It is 18x6x2.5 and is pretty heavy duty.

I was thinking of taking a brass brush to it (since I have them) and getting some krylon hammered texture finish bbq paint or something.

It's got surface rust browning and scratches all over. The bottom of it no longer has paint on it.

Any thoughts?

I did the exact same thing to mine, cleaned it up real good, sanded all the old finish off. I topcoated it with Rustoleum Green Hammer finish, it's holding up great so far.

I am looking for an old box to restore. (i.e. CHEAP decent box in not so good of condition) I am thinking of powder coating it. Anyone ever do that with one?
