Old SK Sockets

My dad is a fan of SK tools and has some from when he was younger. So, for this Christmas I rounded up some sockets and now I'd like to find a matching ratchet. They're not all the same style but most of them seem to be one style. Does anyone know what kind of ratchet matches these sockets? Also, when were these sold? I'm also on the look out for a 1/2" socket in this style if anyone has one they're looking to get rid of.

Sockets:

Thanks,
David

I am not sure but I think those are from the late 40's to the 50's and the type of ratchet that goes with them is the 42470 with the big diamond on it with SK in the middle of it.

The S-K Wayne would be from the early '60's IIRC. 42470 is correct, logo depending.

That's correct for S-K Wayne, but the knurled sockets can go back as far as the 1930's. I have a few of each and the Wayne sockets are more modern than the previous knurled versions. It isn't easy to tell the difference though. But ALL the knurling ended after S-K Wayne in the 60s. :)

DavidB, just out of curiosity, does your Dad prefer the S-K Wayne and earlier tools over the later versions, or is he like me and likes them all?

Thanks,
Steve

Most but the smallest two are 12 pt. So, either 6 or 12 pt would be ok. Std length is cool. Thanks!!
