My father gifted these to me 40-45 years ago. I was using them today and thought I would share. I'm sure they are not rare, but I have certainly put them to good use. I have much more Snap On in my tool box.

Wow, $150. Of course I'll keep this stuff. My dad passed in Jan. at 93. Old railroad man and WWII veteran. Was not even sick, died in his sleep, a blessing. I also have full sets of the black Snap On sockets and ratchets. Good stuff.

Some great tools, I love using the old stuff.

Personally I prefer those old snap on screwdriver handles.

Any more photos?

pictured are two old Snap On pliers. The bright set are 1960's. I think the black set may be older.

All good stuff there.
Use them and think of him every time you do.
I have tools that were my fathers and grandfather. I still use them

I have a couple of these small tool boxes that I've used to store odd and ends hardware for years.

Found two more that are in perfect condition recently. They are from the 70's

I think the screw driver in the last picture on the right is worth the most. I saw one of them go for over 150.00 on ebay this summer.

Yeah, I've seen them go for a lot.

Some Snap On stuff that's been discontinued has a cultish following, and fetches big bucks. However, keep in mind that if you break it, that's it, because they're NLA. Most likely, if you sent that into Snap On as broken, they'd send you a ratcheting handle.

Anyway, I'd be proud to use any of those tools. That punch/chisel set is as good as has ever been made.

Great stuff, 55chevy! :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

I inherited my Dad's 1947 3/8dr Snap-on socket set that was furnished from the factory with a 1944 "E" ratchet. Also have a mint MV-71 1/4" rat in the box. It's like a shrine in my tool chest--I never touch them except to occasionally sneak in the garage to gaze at them once in awhile.
