Hello everyone,

Are the two top drawers in the SnapOn KR 377 the same? The top drawer of mine is missing and the one in the box has a divider running in the center from the front to the back. If I make one I want it correct as I can get it. A picture would be great if they are different. Thanks for any and all help.

zkling,

Thanks, just what I needed to know.

Ricky Joe,

So do you have a drawer or complete cabinet or a cabinet you are parting out or are you just kidding?

Ricky,

Thanks for the reply. I looked at the CL posting and your box looks more like a KRA-377. Mine is older and on the collectingsnapon.com website the KR-377B is in the 1960 catalog, but not the 1962. I am posting a picture of mine. I believe mine is actually a KR-377 with no "a" or "b" suffix.

Look on the Richmond, Virginia site. There is an old 1950s model, both cabs $225. See if that helps. Sorry about the confusion with mine. Good luck, and let me know if that Richmond (Quinton, actually, close to Williamsburg) works. I have to go down that way soon, and could pick it up and bring it back as far as Blacksburg, if that helps.

Wrong box, those are from the 40's.

Well, I tried!!! are those boxes worth the asking price, zkling?

My honest opinion? Given the venue, market and condition. His, somewhat kinda*, yours, no.

*Collector boxes. Condition is pretty rough for a true collector. Too small for the price for someone looking for usable tool storage.

Thanks. I would sell for less, but couldn't duplicate for half. I may very well keep them. I appreciate your expertise and honest opinion. I've been selling, and had a hard way to go on a lot of things. Sold a Steel table today for about 1/4 what the steel cost. Welding rods at $1 per pound, everything seems gold when I buy, brown when I sell. Today's market will improve immediately I have sold my last wrench!!

Sincere thanks, again.

Yep, such is the used market. If you have the space keep them. How many drawers does the top box have? Do you have the panel for the lower compartment on the bottom box? I'd stack all the snap on boxes and have a nice set that spans ~30 years

Rolos, after seeing your image I think we discussed this before. If I was you I would make the top drawer into a deep drawer by adding a false front to it. Or you could build up a drawer from scratch pretty easily. The welded on handle drawers are much easier to duplicate than a full length bent drawer pull.
