Old Snow Skiis

Anyone here ever get creative with using old snow skiis on the wall in the garage to hang stuff on or whatever? I have an old pair of K2 Three skiis from the 70's that I am tempted to drill holes into, attach wooden dowels and make it a broom holder or hang stuff on them?

Friend of mine up home hung an old pair of wooden skis upside down on the wall in his cabin and used them as a shelf for cabin-type knick knacks. Looked pretty cool.

Could do the same thing in the garage and set old beer signs or something on 'em.

A buddy of mine made a bench with all the old skies from the thrift store, and garage sales. He welded up a frame, painted it, and used stainless hardware to mount the skies just like lumber for the seat and back. It came out cool. Sorry no pics he sent it up to his dad in Detroit for christmas.

This is what I was going to say, we were in a bar in Golden Colorado and watched some people do this...Looks fun!!!!!!!!!!! For those that haven't seen one before, shot glasses are glued to the top of the ski, so you and your friends drink a shot at the same time.


I think I'm going to have to find a ski now.

I remember a guy made a sled out of 2 skis....wooden platform across the 2 parallel skis...

It was scary fast ...so fast that he couldn't stop and ended up in the river WAAAAAAYYYY at the bottom of the hill...when asked why he didn't get off before the river he replied" I was too scared"...lol

With a long enough hill and some sort of braking system it could be bad ***....

Some of the ski resorts have used them to make benches. They are actually pretty comfortable and neat looking.
