With all of the refurbishing that goes on in this section I thought I would ask: Do any of you reuse old stickers or decals that came off one of your vintage tools that you refurbished and the sticker/decal was in good condition and could be reused? If so, how do you get the old sticker/decal to adhere since most of the time the glue is shot? I have a few decals that are in good shape and I can reuse them but they have no glue that will stick after so many years...:headscrat

Surely I am not the only one

I've reused one or two, one right beside me is a foil type and as you say, the glue was shot. To stick it back on I used a type of double sided tape that is virtually just a strip of adhesive. This decal was thick so the glue did not effect the surface. ymmv.
I think panel repair supply shops have this tape for trim refitting.
I have tried superglue with poor results.

3M 77 spray adhesive. Glue the sticker to magnetic paper from a craft store and trim it to size.
Now you can move and reuse it without worrying about damaging the sticker.
