I have found a set of old 12 point 3/8 sockets. The logo has the leg of the 'C' extended under half the other letters. Dose anyone know anything about this stile sockets?

Stile is part of a door or window or furniture face frame. Some have style, some don't.

Stihl is a stylish chain saw. ;)

The old style Craftsman sockets are probably from the 1930s or 1940s, so they're really old. If you take them to Sears, maybe they'll give you some nice new made in China ones to replace it.

Or, you can post a photo for us to see.

10 bucks says the craftsman socket set was made by new Brittan in the 30s to early 40s.

I always thought a stile was how you climbed over a fence easily. I didn't know Craftsman made special sockets for fence work.

That is soooo true Outlaw. I had a look at the replacement ratchets once and they were metal selector type, some with oil holes. I bet everyone of them just needed cleaning. They don't typically replace those with new ratchets off the shelf, but there's NO DOUBT a vintage socket would be replaced with a new off-the-shelf socket.

gee I'm glad my typing could provide so much fun for you'll. I just noticed that this set of 9 has two 8 point sockets (3/8 and 5/16) as well as the normal 12. I have tried to take pictures as they are interesting but my camera just won't focus and pick up the logo. I'ming going to try my wife's much better one. They all have knurling around the base of the socket.
