Looking at an old Tannewitz table saw from out of state. Just have one dark picture. I suspect it is a type F. The table does not slide. Said to have been in daily use when shop shut down 8-10 years ago.

I'm the one that's out of state, not the saw. I'll be home in a little over a month. I have to come up with a plan to move the machine.

How heavy is it? Other models of theirs are 1200-1500 lbs.

Short of having the saw lagged to a pallet and lifting the pallet with a forklift, what is the best way to lift one of these saws?

Thanks, metalmagpie

Pics would help.

As for moving a drop deck trailer and a pallet jack work well.

Now that's a table saw! I have called a tow truck to help load/unload items like that, just let them know what you need when you call them, I think it's a fairly common request around here.

Well, this deal didn't work out. And I'm kind of relieved. It would have been one thing if it had been complete. But it turned out to be missing a lot of very hard-to-find parts, so c'est la vie and I'll go work on something else. Thanks!

Probably for the better!

I looked for years for a decent Delta Unisaw at a decent price, even looked at junkers to rebuild, but I knew no mater what I bought it was going to be a project and didn't want to restore one and scavenge
a bunch of parts. I finaly found one complete and in working order and still spent $500 getting it to what I wanted.

Ended up buying a new motor for my Unisaw, but the Leeson 3 HP motor with the propitiatory mount was only a wee bit over $330 with shipping back then which was more then the planned VFD.

Location is a big factor. Some areas have relatively easy to find good condition owwm, for decent prices.

No kidding! This area is a waste land for decent tools. I looked for years, maybe a coulpe decades for a good Unisaw. I could find then, but they were either a restoration project, missing half the saw, for $500 or a nice saw for $2,000. A year ago we drove out to Denver to visit relatives and I picked up a nice Unisaw for $900. I know I could have hauled it back here and sold it for $1500 - $2,000 with no effort,
