I know little about old tools but actually bought these to use too. Anything of high value in the this group I would be better off not using? eBay lot I just won the other day.

Wiley & Russel (according to their Lightning Trademark) first used Lightning in 1874, and they last re-registered the trademark in 1907. I've no idea if they're collectible but they're likely old. As noted on vintagemachinery.org, they were acquired by GTD in 1912,

Thanks for the link fix! Wow! That is pretty old! Hope the tap sizes are the same SAE sizes we use still.

Not too many people collect them, so probably not real valuable. Very cool set.

Thanks, I thought they looked pretty cool too! And using them in my auto shop is pretty neat also. I have some Greenfield stuff I use now- modern though.
