Found this beauty on the ebay. It's 3/4 diameter and 11 inches long. Knurled grips. I've never seen one like it. Have any of you?ImageUploadedByTapatalk1447715236.802568.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1447715276.756589.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1447715318.406132.jpg

Wow!

Is there such a thing as "Too Pretty To Punch"?

I'd be reluctant to give it a good whack.

Josh,

You can use any soft metal hammer or mallet with your brass punch.

Consider brass, copper, aluminum, lead... even hard rubber or plastic mallets too. There are also dead blow hard rubber mallets with lead shot in them.

Any of these would be fine with the brass punch.

probably a machine shop school or trade school project ( test)

^^^That was my first thought.^^^
I was in Millwright school 15 years ago while i apprenticed and made all kinds of puches like that during our machine shop training.
some one spent some time to make a pretty handy tool look pretty cool!
looks like something i would of made back then when i had more time on my hands than i do now.....the good ol'days
