Galaxie, that looks like my box. I even have the holes where your mac emblem is. Did waterloo make boxes for mac? What is the history behind yours.

Picked mine up a couple years ago and painted it last year. I don't know if Waterloo ever made boxes for Mac...from what I've read on this board I kind of doubt it. But I have seen some Waterloo boxes that look almost identical to mine and yours.

If you're asking me, the answer is no. Everything has been painted.

not you i can see that yours have been painted. the reason i ask is that i am going to be doing a box that i just picked up and i would like to get the handles that clean on mine. it looks to have the same side handles

Galaxie, technically that is my 14 month old son's 56. I hold the keys until he is 16

Eric, my handles were very rusted so I wire brushed them and painted them with Krylon Fusion brushed nickel paint.

I bought it when I was 15....fixed it up with my dad and drove it daily through college. Taught me tons about cars. I want the same for my son.

Heck I better have another kid...my dad wants to give the next one his 1940 coupe.

I have the same box as the OP. It was my dad's, also from 77. I refinished it a few years ago by stripping, blasting, and powder coating. It has a Waterloo logo on the right side of the bottom drawer.

That badge appears to be held on by two rivets....mine has holes for 4 rivets?

Whatever the brand is I already like it and have put liners in it and will move it into its' permanent location today.

Oddly, I found the bottom box locally from a kid I was going to give a job to.

It is definitely mac tools. Has a tag on the back that states that.

I cleaned it up and now the pair sit in my garage. I love them.

Here is a pic after paint. The old black remline went to my neighbor who only had a kobalt top box for all his tools.
