Old Toolbox ID?

I recently picked up this old toolbox from a CL ad. It was advertised as a SnapOn, but I'm not sure. Did SO ever have an oval indentation where the logo was? I also cannot find any model number or date on the back. Appreciate any info that can be offered as to maker and age. Thanks.

i have never seen a snap on box with the lock off center or an oval indention. i'm guessing MBC as they made a box with similar drawer pulls.

they worked for me... i am going to say that no... it is not a snap on(could be wrong) if it is snap on... there should be stampin on the back of the box including model number year code and serial #... also as far as i know... the snap ons all had drop front lids.... on the other hand, the box does seem to look familiar... just can not put a finger on it for you.... sorry

The top box does have a drop front, the lid is up in the pictures so you cannot see it. Inside of the lid is black krinkle if that helps also. Any idea of the age? Thanks for all the quick replies, this is a great forum.
