Old Tools with pics

My friend who was cleaning out his MILs garage asked if I wanted an old toolbox with some tools. I told him I'm on my way. Now some of you these tools might not be old but some of them I have never seen before, I also did not realize how many US companies manufactured tools.

Here is the tool box, it is a Huot Box, made in St Paul USA

Variety of wrenches, made by Giller, Barcalo, Frank & Warren, Upland

numerous pipe wrenches

Craftsman wrench Ive never seen before

Some snap on stuff





I believe these are gasket hole punches, correct me if I'm wrong, and also here looks like an adjustable drill bit for wood

Heavy Duty drop light


would like to know any info on these tools, I was suppose to put a new rear end in a friends Jeep today, but I got side tracked, hope he understands

Some sweet stuff. Especially love that drop light.........never saw one like that before.

The Snap On sliding tee handle is from 1945 (G date code).

The odd Craftsman pliers are old battery pliers......if they have a "Nestled Diamond" on the handles, they were made by Wilde in the 60's..........you can see them here

The long, thin Craftsman double open wrenches are called Tappet wrenches......there were 4 in the set.

Just noticed a "Barcalo" wrench............made in Buffalo, NY by the same company that made "Barco-loungers"

Thanks for the info, battery pliers never would of thought, and yes that drop light seems indestructible

Never heart of Huot before, but I googled them and they are still in business, 85 years old, nice to see an American business still producing

I going to empty it all out clean it up with some WD40 and leave it the way it is.

That is sweet, you do ****! That's a non spark light, I use to use them in the military shops around fuels. I see a dimealloy adjustable in a pic there.

well that would explain the heavy duty glass, I haven't plugged it in, as the plug is cut off, but the wiring is really heavy gauge stuff

I've got that exact same Huot box, with the matching 3-drawer roller cabinet. It dates from late 60's I believe, maybe early 70's. My Dad bought it for my Grandpa, and I inherited it when Grandpa passed. I'll ask my Dad if he remembers when he bought it.
