I have these vises. One is a Reed 203, another a Columbian, and the last I am unsure of the manufacturer. Any badging is unledgible. I am hoping someone can identify it based on it's components. It is really big, and has a hole in the side for oiling and the words "oil here" marked on it. It is obviously extremely heavy and well made. Any help is greatly appreciated. As for the other vises...I bought the Reed last Sunday for $30 at the local flea market. It was lag bolted to a small piece of plywood and spraypainted smurf blue. It was as if the vendor literally spray painted it real quick to cover up rust to sell it. I took it apart completely and removed all the rust and paint, and then gave it a good oiling. As for the Columbian, I was buying a large steel welding table from a guy that was moving out of state and stumbled on it. Got the vice, a 6" bench grinder, and a drill press for $35. The welding table is 6'×4' with 1/2" plate top. Weighs 600 plus pounds. Got it for $30. I'll post pics of it asap. Oh and the vise I am trying to figure out the manufacturer of I got for $20 when buying a toolchest. I like the old Craftsman toolboxes and found one cheap. I typically take them down to bare metal and repaint them. Anyway I love these views and hope there are others that will get some joy out of the pics. Thanks a lot, sorry if that was a long post. NEW to this and that was my first post besides my intro. P.S. The first 3 pics are of the mystery vise. And I apologize if the pics aren't that great or if there isn't anything visible in them that would help identify it.
