Does anyone recognize this vise? Came with a big tool lot going all the way back to 1900, most tools were from 30s/40s. No4000 on the side.

Looks like a Charles Parker.

Here's an odd vise manufacturer, Neverslip Tin Cover Co. of Watertown, NY, with my one-sentence Vintage Machinery article. The company's main product was universal-fit lids for kettles and pans. Anyone know anything more?

According to Parker not their top of the line vise. Sold painted green, apparently someone else was making similar vises that copied their products. You would have to go back and forth of their available catalogs to get a catalog cut and an explanation per Parker, they don't mention who. I believe this has been covered before.
