So what do you guys think? I haven't bit the bullet yet but the larger white one seems pretty nice and for $75 price isn't too bad. Can anyone tell me what brand it is? The Charles Parker vise is nice also for $80. Which one os a better vise?

I recently got a Parker #204 and a #974B and they are both very nice vises. About the only thing that you can get that is slicker is a good used English Record vise, but they often go for much more money.

Buy the Parker! Try to work him down a bit, but $80 is still a decent deal. I try not to pay over $1, unless they are in GREAT shape.

Looking closer at the Parker and you can see that it still has a nice set of the replaceable jaws and the rest of the vise looks good as well. Since it has been painted, I would look closely for cracks, but if everything looks good $80 is not out of line.
