New Newbie, still ********* out the picture posting thing (I'm tech challenged)...saw a post by member jimreed2160 from 2014 with pics which I haven't been able to find again, I have been packing the same vise around for yrs. during a cleanup found it again! looks like a parker? No.4000, carriage makers vise? per his post, has the Kingsley Improvement collar-11/26/67 or 87? and No.4000...no other marks, 4" wide jaw x 7" opening. one jaw (dynamic side) face replaceable. can anyone tell me anything else, scarcity, value...use it! don't use it?, original color? it has both a black (japanned?) and a forest green color? Also saw this vise in an ad reprint of a vintage catalog. "virginia-carolina hdw co." page 396, haven't seen another, and I'm a restoration specialist & smith...being from the ca gold rush region I have seen and own a lot...
