Old Vlchek Phillips screwdriver with no logo?

So I was sorting through some tools I picked up the other day and something that had caught my eye was this wooden handled screwdriver that said Phillips-LIC 6 . after closer inspection I saw the words Vlchek on the handle. it looks like somebody had restained the handle and did a crappy job there are no other markings on the ferall like I have read online on the shaft there are two patent numbers followed by made in the USA could this have been part of a World War II Dodge tool kit as all the other Phillips screwdrivers I can find online show a logo stamp on the ferall. The screwdriver is 9 in Long overall with a 4 inch long shaft there are grooves in the handle.

I guess why we're on this topic of Vlchek I would like to know a little more about this wrench if anybody has any info this was another thing I found. didn't know who it was until I came across a thread showing this logo there are no size markings on it but they measure out to 3/8 on one end 7/16 on the other. was this a wrench supplied with World War 2 Willys kit or is it earlier than that? the only thing I can find online that comes up is an auction on eBay for $119 for this wrench.

In the WW2 collecting world we refer to those early wrenches as “clunky”. That wrench is much earlier than WW2. The Vlchek wrenches you are looking for are like the ones on the left side of this picture.

That wrench is from the 30's, and nowhere near 119 dollars.

If one of the patents is 2507231 (1950), then no. If the two patents are 2046837 and 2046840, possibly. The Dodge kit Phillips screwdrivers were a No. 2 tip and a No. 3 tip. The No. 2 tip had a 4" shaft, and it sounds like that's what you have. Typically, however, the shaft was marked "No. 2". And as you noted, typically, the ferrule had the Flying V logo. Personally, I would keep it and consider it WWII until proven otherwise.

I have buckets full of those wrenches......I cannot help myself from buying them at auctions......my hope is that I corner the market on early wrenches and then I can demand a premium for them[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Yes it does have the 2 right patents and made in the USA it is a number 2 Phillips as I use those at work everyday however there still is no logo .I cleaned up the handle of the crappy varnish that somebody had put on it and the wood is nice and blond has the name on the handle and everything is in good shape so for now I am going to keep it because it's a good screwdriver. Just hate to damage something that is sought after by accident.
