can anyone give me some info on a old walker 4 ton mechanical jack. I found on one on craigslist for 150 looks like its in good shape. Id be using it to lift a 03 chevy 2500hd. I was curious if it was worth my time and money or would i be better served getting a arcan 3 ton from costco.

They are neat, but not that practical. If you do want to buy it check it over very well for cracks. IIRC they are from the ~1920's. One thing you might want to check on your truck is how much jack lift you will need to get the wheels high enough off the ground.

I'd say there is a reason these are no longer made. I saw one at an auction a couple years age, I was looking at it for a museum , but the guy who bot it was going to use it.
