Picked up a Weaver WA-72 jack awhile back for $25. Just got around to looking at it. It is missing a few parts (handle lock rod & spring), but I was looking for some input from the jack gurus. It does not leak. Pumps up half way(is low on fluid, don't have any correct fluid to top off yet).photo 1 (11).jpgphoto 2 (12).jpg

photo 2 (11).jpg Looks like it has been dropped and bent the frame rails, although i'm not sure. Also, a weld has broken on side/top. My question is 1:Can I have the weld re-welded, and be OK structurally 2: From my pics, does the frame look bent (sagging)? And if so, would it be worth reworking for a worker. I have another 4 ton for my truck, mainly i will use for cars. Any input would be appreciated.

Weaver frames are entirely welded so, fixing the broken weld won't be a issue, check out castle equipment for hard parts and seal kits.

Hiball, I was hoping you would check in. What do you think of the "sag"? Or is there even an issue? Does it look ok to use? Checked castles web site, will order parts from them. Thanks for helping all of us newbies bring these jacks back to life.

I wouldn't worry too much about the sag (although im on my phone so the pictures arent too clear) IMO make sure the jack is positioned on a level floor (4 wheels on the ground), tack the frame where its separated and then weld it up nice and solid.
