Hey guys. I am a new poster but have enjoyed the site for quite a while.
I live in western New York & I am re-building my old 30'x32' barn. It’s a project that I’ve been working on the past 3 years, I started with the roof, built an addition and I am currently in the process of replacing the concrete floor. I plan to insulate and make it into a nice garage/workshop.
I was doing some research and came across this board and now I am addicted to it. I have already got a ton of ideas just from reading these great posts. So I will try to keep you posted with my progress.

It’s been a while since I’ve been able to post my progress on GJ.
The good news is I’ve been able to get A LOT of work done since my original post.
Since September I’ve installed overhead doors with openers, where the old sliding doors were.
I’ve replaced the old man door with a new one, and installed a couple new windows.
With a lot of help from my family & friends we busted up & hauled away the old concrete and poured 15.5 yards of new concrete on 10/8/11. It turned out great!
My brother and I built a new ceiling which also gives me a nice attic/ storage area above. Once that was done I was able to move all my **** – I mean stuff out of the PODS that I rented so I could have them come pick that up from my back yard while the weather was still co- operating.
I tore out all the old wiring and with help from my brother ran new wire throughout the whole barn.
I am lucky in that I have a good friend who’s a carpenter & he has been very helpful and generous with his time. He helped me install vinyl soffit, wrap all the trim in aluminum, and install seamless gutters.
Most recently I’ve managed to get the whole thing insulated and am now in the process of hanging 3/8 plywood on the walls & ceiling.
Next up will be paint. I’m thinking 2 tone - maybe light grey & white on top with a red stripe between. I want to go with red because it will match my 68 Mustang, the current garage resident.
I know this forum isn’t very useful without pictures, and I did manage to take quite a few. I’m hoping to get them posted here soon; it’s just that I’ve been spending all my spare time working in the garage! LOL!

Here's a picture of the barn right after I got the doors in & trimmed out.
I also included a picture of the pumpkin that my boys and I grew last summer!
More pics coming soon!
