Old wrenches

I bought these to add to my craftsman rp metric set. Paid $16.00 from eBay. Do you guys have any idea of age? I was guessing late 1960s early 1970s. I think I have that exact same set in my toolbox I will double check and post pics tomorrow. If I'm thinking of the right ones, they came in a unique holder that stacked the wrenches on top of one an other.

I was actually going to take pics tonight and see if anyone knew about them also.

These are Indestro Select Steel contract wrenches. Duro-Chrome was a different brand of the same company. I have never heard of them being sold together, in a mixed set, but it's not at all like mixing Husky and Snap-On or something like that. Someone (prior owner) knew their wrenches and kept them in the family, so to speak, at least.

These are Indestro Select Steel contract wrenches. Duro-Chrome was a different brand of the same company. Someone (prior owner) knew their wrenches and kept them in the family, so to speak, at least.

Nothing wrong with that. Both companies were located in Kenosha, WI at one time. Who knows, Husky could have made some tools back then for their neighbor.

My 60s-vintage Husky 3/4" drive socket set is "mixed" in my Snap-On stack with a lot of Snap-On and Proto.

Kind of looks like you beat someone with those wrenches and cleaned them upto sell.

I didn't say there was anything wrong with it. The OP was wondering if the Duro-Chrome was an "odd-ball" in the set. It's not as odd as my example, given following his implied desire to see if the set is all the same brand. In my example, I would definitely consider an orphan Husky in an otherwise complete set of Snap-On to be an oddball.
