Older compressors vs new?

There are some older horizontal compressors for sale near me relatively inexpensive compared to newer large models.

One is a speedair, another is an AMP.

Are these better than buying newer? If so, educated me please! Need to know what I'm looking for.

Compressor needs: motorcycle and car tire mounting, some 1/2 impact stuff, and possibly an air operated motorcycle lift.

On either one of those make sure that they are not 3-phase machines that you may not be able to use without a new motor. Just like buying a car they may be cream puffs or totally worn out. That you have to decide on inspection.

you could be buying a gem, or a pile of scrap, or anything in between .
doesn't sound like your needs are too high. take a chance on one if the price is right,with the expectation of "It was a learning experience.
main things to check;
make sure single phase ( assuming you don't have 3 phase)
tank has no leaks and is not full of water
compressor turns and pumps air .
a bit of plumbing , wiring and odds & ends required on a used machine will be considered normal in my opinion
