Older Cornwell chest

I'm back with another guidance question from the most experienced minds here. An older Cornwell Elite tool chest popped up for sale that peaked my interest, only problem is I have little idea about a reasonable price for the item.

I have that exact box. I paid $150 for it, a little high perhaps, but I lived in the bay area then.

Currently listed at $200 with tools in it although I doubt I will want the tools. Even if it was priced right $200 was more than I wanted to spend.

Well, I would go look at it, see what tools are in it, and make an offer. If they don't like it, say OK. Then see if it is still for sale a week or so and get back to them. As I said, I have one and it is a great box for a 26"

With no tools, $100-125 Is fair. $150 if you really want it.

Thanks everyone for the guidance...I’m waiting for a reply from that seller about the tools. It’s an hour away from me so I dont want to drive without some more info.

Likely from the 80's. Made by Waterloo. You'll find the date code on the front face of the frame, above the front right caster.

I grew out of love with the twin drawer pull style boxes after using for a while. Although I do have a 33" cornwell elite middle, but it has different twin pulls that allow for single handed operation.

Looks a bit rough.

Hard to tell in the pic, but it almost looks like the lower right hand corner was welded up.
