Older floor jack ?

I`m on the hunt for an older american made floor jack to replace my crapy import. I have been following some of the floor jack threads here and I know jacks get painted over the years. I seen a orange & white jack at an action this past weekend with no name any where on it. I didn`t bid not being able to idenify it.It went for $30 and I think maybe I should have bid. Can you guys list some good older names and original colors to help idenify jacks. Thanks

Don't remember colors -- too many to remember

Some Vintage Brands: Lincoln, Blackhawk, Atlas (always Orange), Walker, Hein-Werner, Hercules (maybe a Walker)

Modern Brands: OTC, Milwaukee, some NORCO

Hein Warner: orange and white, Walker/Lincoln: blue, or blue and yellow, or blue and white Blackhawk: red and white is all I have ever seen. Most older Sears jacks were quality rebadges worth buying at least up into the 1960's, some are green in color. Anything later, even in the 1970's might be an import. Those are the brands I am most familiar with. Keep in mind, the bad part is many new imports are also these colors so look for names or manufacturers tags etc.

FWIW, I got an older leaking-down Lincoln for free and a $50 on-line rebuild kit later, have a hell-for-stout jack. I did also have to rebuild one of the casters. The jack is heavy enough that dropping it on the swivel casters had bent one enough for the ball bearings to escape. I removed the caster, drilled out the staked center pin, straightened the bearing cups, found some more ball bearings, replaced the center pin with a bolt and she was good to go. Someone asked, "Why not buy a new jack? Why not buy a new caster?" Might as well ask, "Why don't you watch reality TV and drink lite beer?" Too unconscious to understand if one would waste the time to explain.

So am I. I really don't trust the china ones that I have. What is the life expectancy of a China jack that gets occasional use?

Nice looking Hein Warner pictures (orange with white pad) also these jacks were badged as Western Auto with "t" handles and Tan to gold color paint. I have one of each, and am in the process of rebuilding the Western Auto one. Would like a service manual with instructions with an exploded view of it for reference material so I dont have to tear down semi working model. Mine are both simular to the ones on the nice black asphalt but not as pretty!

The China junk is too narrow and will let the vehicle fall on you when the ground is the least bit soft. Yes thats experence talking, " ALWAYS USE your jack stands!" even on asphalt and concrete floors. Elroy nice photos but what are the brackets on the front behind the front wheels?
