I've been a slight poster big lurker tho around here and this is my first thread. Its an idea I've been dreaming up and I think this would be the one to make it a reality other then the motor.
I've been looking for a bigger compressor/tank then the 20 gallon one we have right now. I've found a suitable candidate for a replacement, or at least i think. My plans are to mount this in the joists of the hip roof attic in the garage after removing the motor and cylinders on top to a base off to the side and appropriate plumbing associated. My only other issue is that it is 220/440 3phase motor on it.
Does anyone see any issues associated with removing the old 3phase motor and replacing it with a single phase motor since this will be in a home not a business.
Replacement Motors Northern Tool Motor
Grainger Motor
Or would a converter be a better choice. All tho i cannot find a converter, but will admit I haven't searched too hard for one.

Unless someone has a better idea or has a fault in my plan. It may not progress very fast but its a start to getting out of the small craftsman compressor.
