These belong to my gear head next door neighbor. These are vintage K-D Snap ring pliers which he bought new many years back. He loaned them to someone some time ago and they lost his accessory kit which contained the various sized interchangeable "bits" (straight ends, and bigger and smaller hole *******).
Does anyone know of any other current brands bits (I forget what the prongs are cslled) that would fit these, and secondly, is there a larger style of these ratcheting style Snap ring pliers currently available by another USA made manufacturer ? He loves these and wants a larger set for heavy equipment repairs. He's helped me out alot over the years, and I would like to get him some more bits for these (at the very least) and a bigger set of pliers.

Thanks for your time,

Shawn

I don't know if you are still looking for these but I spotted these in the garage yesterday. I don't know where you are in Northern California but I am in the East Bay.

The pliers your neighbor has take the larger (+/- .153) tips, KD part number 457. The KD 447 (+/- .090) tips are for the smaller family of pliers. It looks like the current batch of KD tips are now sourced from Taiwan.

Gentlemen, I was searching for replacement tips for my K-D #456 snap ring pliers. I posted on the Easco / K-D Facebook page and they hooked me up with Mark Beacom at S&S Sales (724) 224-5823. Their shop is located at 120 Rt 908 ext, Tarentum, PA.

Mark and his brother Sam have an immense collection of KD parts and tools (along with SK and others) from decades of being in the salvage brokering and obsolete stock parts business. If you go in person, plan on spending days in their warehouse!
