I use Marvel mystery oil for air tools,a few drops down the air connection, and see how it works.

Oil them with air tool oil.

That impact is not very powerful by today’s standards, and may struggle with some lug nuts. That said, it should last you a life time. Those made in Japan tools were top quality.
With age, the oil in the motors gums up, and the vanes are prone to sticking. If a few drops of oil don’t get her going, the PB air tool conditioner usualy does the trick. Just spray it in the inlet with the trigger depressed, wait a few minutes, hook her up to air and let her rip. Do cover the exhaust with a towel because it makes a crazy mess. Best to do it outside.

Turn the tool so the air inlet faces up, with the air hose disconnected. Hold the trigger in the down position, squirt a few drops of air tool oil in the tool, wait a few seconds connect the air hose and give it a try. I like Marvel Air Tool Oil, people use that, Marvel Oil, ATF, etc. I stay clear of those debates............

the only thing i would add is before attaching air to the impact wrench is to rotate the square drive by hand as you oil it. a few drops of marvel mystery oil spin the square a few rotations by hand, and repeat. let sit overnight, attach air and exercise it at half speed in both directions, then put it to work. Full speed just blows everything out. 
On a side note, i believe that's the Christmas special impact that isn't very powerful out of the box and was offered each year at a super low price at black friday sales for perhaps $29.97.

Get a few takers seems old stock craftsman and it japan coo .
well made but low performance by todays standards, nano impacts are 3rd the size with more than twice the power and reactionless air ratchets are another innovation level over the classics, although the 3/8 ratchet could still be useful ...
Work some oil into them and give them a test ...
