I have for sale a Ridgid grinder that I bought in 2006. I bought it "reconditioned", but it showed up looking brand new except for the "recon" stamp on the side. It has a paddle switch that can be locked on, which are not very common anymore due to OSHA rules. This grinder has the lighted plug with a grinder logo on it, which is pretty neat. Its model R1001, although when I have searched that model number, some of the grinders that show up don't look identical to this one.
Its reasonably powerful at 8 amps, and has performed really well for me. Has 12' long cord and a great toolless adjustable guard. Its got some scrapes, dust, and overspray, but works flawlessly. I didn't use it that much, there's probably tons of life left on the brushes. Includes original spanner wrench and side handle.
I have been told that many of the older Ridgid grinders were made for Home Depot by Metabo, but this one was made in China, so I don't know if it was a Metabo made or Metabo designed grinder. I own a bunch of Metabo grinders, and this one is built very similar to them, so I dunno. Either way its a great little grinder, and I know some guys really liked the Ridgid tools with the lighted indicator on the plug.
The price is $50 + actual shipping cost shipped Priority USPS (2-3 day shipping). The shipping cost is probably around $9-$12. Or it can be picked up in Richardson, TX (suburb of Dallas).
