I've got someone interested in trading me an older Snap On top and bottom box, I believe they are a KR660 and KR690, for a Matco roll cart that I'm not using.

What are the chances this box has roller bearings? There person I've been talking isn't very helpful. It's a bit of a drive from me.

Thanks duders!

I don’t know for sure, but that box should have roller bearings. It’s the equivalent of a masters series box today.

My KR1000 boxes of similar era have BB slides.

Thanks duders!

It has roller bearings. It's a nice size box.
I bought the combination back in 1997 and still have it today.

According to the 1991- 1992 catalog, the KR 690 Top Chest has a full length bottom drawer.
My KR 690 has a full length drawer.
Something is not adding up here.

I went and got it. It's dirty and it's been used all it's life, but there are almost no scratches or dings.

It's actually a KR660/KR691 combo, I guess the top was purchased later. I actually dig the drawer stickers, I wouldn't mind finding new ones.

The Matco roll cart I traded, I only paid $300 for, along with some elbow grease to clean it up.

Awesome trade! The stickers are cool too, I used them on my first Snap on box. They have magnetic ones now too, in case you decide to move stuff around. Great looking box!

Got her moved in.

Makes the Craftsman box I got when I graduated high school look tiny.

Don't be jealous of the wood paneling in my garage.

Ok, so that chest is a 691. Got it.
You made out big time on this deal. Very nice box.

I kept my 690 when I traded my roll cab for a 3 bay.

The 691 is the next generation to that. The 660 as you see has all drawers and the 690 has the 1 full width drawer. When the 661/691 came out the full width drawer was moved to the 661. I have a 661 that I got new in 1997. It’s a great box, just wish it was a little deeper.
