I have some very heavy duty soldering tips I inherited from my dad. No iron, just about 8 different tips.

These are large tips that have a male thread OD of 13/32 or .406". The thread pitch is about 1/16" or 16+/- TPI.

Are there soldering irons still made to accept these tips?

This is mostly curiosity but even my 60W iron sometimes aint enough, fast enough.

I did some Google searches and didn't find anything.

Hexacon and American Beauty still make large irons that take screw in tips. We're talking 300 watts and more though.
