They're basically craftsman raised panels. The Vulcan is USA and basically a Thorsen clone. Was digging through my spare wrench bin yesterday, just thought I'd share.

Here's one of my Sears Taiwan made wrenches. I have a complete set up to 1". They're actually really well made. Anyone collect these or anything like that?

The Truecraft and K-Mart ones look very like the Daido and Asahi stuff, that was coming out of Japan in the 80's.

Are they marked as Taiwan made ?

I dont collect old ones ... I just still have a few that are daily users.

Those remind me of the Tiawanese made Powermaster wrench set I got in the late 70s. They held up well and I gave them to my nephew a couple of years ago. Surprisingly -- to me, anyway -- the Powermaster set was sourced from Oxwall and it certainly was better than junk.

I've got a few of the K-mart ones marked Taiwan. If I can get them for 25 cents (why is there no cents symbol on the keyboard?) I grab them. Fun just for the "it's from both Taiwan and K-mart!?!" Still a better wrench than anything from HF.

I have some of the old Popular Mechanics stuff Wal-Mart used to sell... bought new when I started driving and needed tools to keep my old car functional. They seem fairly well made, never let me down, still have 'em as backups.
