Oldest build?

Could I have the oldest build project around here? I started building my 16x20 workshop/garage in 2006. Dang just thinking about that makes me cringe. I saw a nice building in my neighborhood that an older dude had that was bricked that matched his house. I said I have to have one like that. Being the cheapskate that I am I decided to build it myself. With a past history doing construction I figured it wouldn't take all that long. Boy was I wrong. I paid someone to finish the concrete but I formed it and did all the dirt work myself.
Right now I have roughly 400 bricks to lay and paint it (again). I guess after finding this sight it might help me get on the ball and finish.

Longest running, or oldest?

I built an addition to the barn about 1967, when I was laid off for nine months. I dug the hole, mixed concrete in a wheelbarrow, poured footings, laid block, built the whole thing.

And in those good old days, I did have to get a building permit, but I never saw the inspector then or afterward.
