OLFA has been my go-to for cutting for many years. Whether I was cutting down a box, slicing silicone sheets, or surgically removing metal shaving from my hands.Their black ultra-sharp blades will cut you if you give them the side-eye.

Their scissors looked intriguing, but I have size 9-1/2 gorilla mitts. Little scissors make me cramp, while shop shears are too big for fine work.

The cutting action is smooth and precise, ending with an ever so slight snap. Generally, I don't like micro-serrations on precise scissors. They tend to leave a rough, dusty edge. Only one blade is serrated while the other is smooth. The paper cuts were smooth and as precise as I could make them.

The fit in my gorilla mitts is surprisingly nice. No cramping. No sharp seams. The finger holes are oblong. The 'L' designation in the part number denotes large.

A very capable and budget friendly Japanese scissor. FYI: I ended up buying 3 pairs as my family stole the first two pair. I don't blame them.

Thanks for the review OP. Finally ordered a couple of pairs after going nutso looking for some scissors in the garage.

I do wonder if the serrated edge is going to make it harder to sharpen.

Do you know if Olfa make them? It appears to have the exact same retaining bolt/washer as my Kai scissors.

Edit: Just noticed you said rivet. The other side of my Kai scissors is an adjustable nut.
