I have the tool grid for my socket drawer. It is nice, but I really miss being able to grab a rail of sockets. In my opinion, the perfect socket system hasn't been invented yet. I loved the old time snappy metal rails. The ones made now are about half the quality of yesteryear. I like the plastic ones with the stick thru the middle and the size. But I always add sockets to each set or have duplicates, and that doesn't work. And then the rails all fall on their side........
But the tool grid is pretty nice.

I have similar thoughts on socket rails, the old snap on metal ones were the best I have had some of mine for 40+ years and they are still doing their thing just like the day I bought them.
I am looking to clean up my boxes now that I am retired, I just want to know the best way to accomplish that. I envy those folks that are super organized, I am not but want to at least be able to find what I am looking for in my box

I also have these, but from another manufacturer. I like them. My most used sockets are in them. Lesser used sockets are in rails as they take up less space.

The large 2 row style like HF or others use works well. Bought many sets of those for the 300 piece craftsman set many years ago and they work great. USA sockets in Asian socket holders….
