I was at Lowes yesterday and they had 5 Gal pails of Olympic brand primer on clerence for $17.00. I usually use Behr products and have never used Olympic, just wondering how good it is??

I used the egg shell finish on my entire basement build that was about 1800 sq ft of floor space and the stuff still looks good after 5 years, but it gets limited UV I guess in the basement.

Five gallons of primer for $17? Get it!

Have them tint it to whatever color you're using and do all but the top coat in primer. You've just saved a buttload on paint.

I guess I'm a sucker for painting my interior with benjamin moore!

I did some ceilings and a few closets with Olympic ceiling paint, and it is extremely thin going on. By the way is it PVA primer meant for bare drywall?

I thought it went on thick. It get sticky/gooey fast a and it ripped the paper off my old drywall. If you're putting it on new drywall or paint it's great though.
