nothing special but it still works great. No information on it other than it has been family owned for years. Says made in taiwan. Just curious about some of these old tools.

Some of that older Taiwan stuff is decent, those cast iron guards don't show up on the new China junk which are only 1/6 or 1/4 HP. Use it!

I have that same grinder and bought it about 1978. I took it to work and used as my personal grinder with a wire wheel. Took it with me when they closed in 96. Still runs strong and smooth.

That's cool. They do seem well built. Probably a dumb question, but mine has a grinding wheel on both sides. I would like a wire wheel on one side. I bought what I though was the correct wheel but the center diameter is too big. Are there wire wheels that will slide right on that I can buy?
