They are what we call "box in/box out". They simply import stuff and re-sell it, like thousands of other companies. They dont actually MAKE anything. And from a very quick glance at their website, they're not even really keeping up with the latest trends.

I wondered about that. Amazon has lots of selections down to about 12 bucks a fixture in packs of 6. They can run $40 as well. How to choose? Never go by price on Amazon, that's not an indicator there.

I have some experience with them. I can't speak to their business practices regarding drop shipping and all of that... but it wouldn't surprise me.

I ordered a box of 25 of their eight foot LED lights from them. Then as I started installing them, I decided to order more because I really needed 30 total. A couple of friends came by and saw them, and then asked if I was going to order more anytime soon... because they wanted some as well. So I ordered another box of 25 and we split them up.

Here's a couple of my posts showing the lights after I got them installed:

My shop is 40x50x14 with a 4/12 pitch. The peak is at about 21' I'd guess? I'm pretty happy with the results.

I will say this: Out of the 30 that I installed in my shop, two had issues right off the bat. The 8 foot light fixture appears to be two 4' sections of LED's, and half of the light fixture started blinking, then just turned off. Some of the lights also got damaged in shipping as well. I sent off an e-mail to Omni-Ray about it, and while it took a bit of time to replace them, they did send me some new ones.

The ones I bought have some cheesy clips to hang them, which *****... but for about $20/ea, I couldn't complain.

They do not seem to have a listing from a testing lab like UL, or ETL, which makes them a undesirable product.

Thanks guys. MY shop is 30x40x14 with a loft above the middle, so on the edges outside the lofted section the height is more like 16-18 foot. Light really gets eaten up in the space and I like a nice bright shop so the price vs size/brightness was alluring from these guys.

I'll second what cybrdyke stated, they're making nothing. I bought them for the garage and regretted it. The product is meh when it works, the service was beyond horrible, took three attempts to get something that didn't have an electrical fault. I would highly, highly recommend looking else where, the owner was a complete jerk!

Fasthodrod is being waaaay to generous calling the clips "cheesy", they're complete ****.

That is exactly why I decided to give them a shot. I hadn't read very much about them when I ordered mine, just a few reviews and that was it. I figured worse case, I'm out a bit of money and time... but it's been a year and my shop is still brightly lit. Your mileage may vary, obviously.

Yeah, you're right. The clips do ****... and to be candid I considered a complete redesign of the clips. I could probably crank out some decent ones on my 3D printer if I wanted to take the time/effort in doing it. In the end, I just went ahead and installed them and figured I'd fix it if I had a problem down the road. So far, no problems.

Like you, I wasn't all that impressed with the level of support. While I got my replacement lights at no cost, it took a while and the communication was lacking. Not quite as bad as your experience, but I wasn't very impressed either.
