OmniWall Over Electrical Outlet?

I am thinking about installing a section of OmniWall above my bench, but I have an electrical outlet that is right in the middle of the area I want to install the OmniWall. Is it possible to plug a low profile/flat plug into an outlet behind the OmniWall and run the cable out the one of the sides, or would I have to cut an opening in the OmniWall for the outlet?
Thanks,
Dave

Thanks for the recommendations, I wasn't aware covering the outlet would be against code.

I'm doing the same thing, thanks for the tip and link. As someone with limited cutting tools, how hard is the omniwall to cut? I have a rotary tool, or a oscillating tool. Will a metal cutting blade in either of those suffice to cut out the opening in the Omniwall?
