? on Dealt Lithium batteries

Just a quick question....What is the shelf life of the new Dewalt Lithium batteries? Meaning, new in package and unopened? I ask because I already have 2 that I am using, but was given 2 new ones in the package. I was hoping that I could just put them up and when the 2 I am using die from use in a year or two I could open these up. Is there a "freshness" factor in these things?

If you keep them in the fridge like the old timers were taught to do with their AA batteries they should last forever.

In all seriousness, I've heard different answers from 2-3 years up to 10 or 15. I'd say email Dewalt and see what they say.
